There is an excellent team of carers and nurses who I can see actually "care" about the residents and relatives. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great environment for my mother to be looked after in.

The lady who looks after the activities is excellent so we as a family are very happy to say to others this home is both caring and safe. My mother is happy so we are all happy.

Winscombe Hall Team

Ty Yilmaz

Home Manager Winscombe Hall

Ty Yilmaz established Cedars Care Group in 2003, when he and his wife Sarah purchased their first care home. Today, the family run company has seven boutique homes across the UK, providing nursing, dementia and elderly care.

As CEO, Ty plays a major role in the day-to-day running of the business. He has a hands-on approach to managing staff of all levels, and can often be found in the kitchens of the homes, cooking a Christmas dinner for residents, or in the gardens cutting grass.

In his capacity as Home Manager at Winscombe Hall Care Centre, Ty is onsite most of the working week. On days when he’s not at Winscombe, Ty visits other homes. He knows the residents at all Cedars Care Group homes by name and works alongside staff to ensure the company is providing the highest level of personalised service.

Tracy Mexon

Care Manager

Tracy started working wiht Cedars Care Group at the Ellenborough Nursing and Residential Home in March 2015 as a Healthcare Assistant. She worked hard and was promoted to Floor Manager then eventually Care Manager by April 2016.   Tracy joined our Winscombe Hall Home in November 2018 as Care Manager in order to expand her role and concentrate on using her experience working with our residents who are living with Dementia.  Tracy’s previous care experience was in a Dementia Home and she feels very passionately about providing person centred approach to care.

Tracy has officially worked in care for 5 years, but she has been a carer for much longer than that. Owing to her compassionate nature, she looked after family members for years before embracing her vocation professionally.  Tracy has an NVQ 2 and is currently half way through her level 5 QCF qualification in Care Leadership and Management.

Married for nearly 30 years, Tracy has 4 grown up children whom she is very proud of. She is grateful that they live close by so she can see them often. Family is very important to Tracy. Having lost both her parents she looked to the family she had at Ellenborough to have someone to care for, nurture and protect and is now looking forward to embracing our Winscombe Hall team and our residents in the same way.

“I feel privileged to be trusted by our residents here,” says Tracy. “I also feel privileged to be supported by Cedars Care Group and respected by our staff. I’m lucky to work in such a lovely home.”
