Senior Carer

Winscombe Hall Care Centre - Winscombe, Somerset

Cedars Care Group is a family run company with experience in nursing, dementia, elderly care and 7 boutique homes across the UK. We now seek a senior carer to work with us in our beautiful dementia specialist residential and nursing home in Winscombe, BS25.

You will support our residents in all aspects of their daily living needs, ensuring that their physical and emotional needs are met and that choice and dignity is promoted at all times. You will be required to oversee shifts, manage, support and supervise our care staff and support the Home’s Management team in achieving standards and targets.

Requirements:

  • Full-time, 36 hours per week with flexibility to support with on call for the Home
  • Day shifts, 12-hour shift patterns, on a rota basis, to include alternate weekends.
  • We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate experience and confidence in their own abilities.
  • The ideal candidate must have own transport due to location of the home.

We are now looking for a Cook/Chef to join our friendly nursing home at Winscombe Hall Care Centre, the role is part time 24 hours per week, permanent position available. The successful candidate must be able to cover weekdays as well as some weekends to support the needs of our residents.

Responsibilities and Duties

A compassionate and caring nature is a must. The role will involve planning and preparing nutritionally balanced meals for our residents, food ordering, and working to budgets. You will work together with the Head Cook and Management team to ensure the nutritional needs of our residents are met to the highest standards.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a candidate who ideally has previous experience in a working kitchen, preferable within a Care or Nursing home.
