Gavin Trerise
Home Manager
Gavin has worked in adult social care for 21 years, 16 of which has been in management. He began his career as a Care Assistant in Cornwall, at a home that supported the needs of people living with dementia. By his mid 20s, Gavin had been promoted to the role of Assistant Manager at the home.
Gavin then moved to Devon, where he worked as Assistant Manager in a mixed residential service. The service had a Day Care centre, Dementia assessment centre, Re-enablement centre and a Residential wing. After 7 years of gaining knowledge and experience in a mixed service setting, Gavin took on the role of Registered Manager in a home for people with dementia. Here he worked with a great team for 2 years, while also completing his CQC and CQF 5 in Leadership and Management for Adults and Younger People in a care setting.
Gavin has a wealth of experience in re-enablement services, residential care, and mental health recovery. His main area of expertise is working with people living with dementia.
Gavin joined Cedars Care Group in 2017, as Home Manager at Cedar Grange Care Centre.
‘As the Home Manager, my aim is to carry on the fantastic work that has gone on before me,’ says Gavin who endeavours to make Cedar Grange Care Centre an outstanding place to be part of. ‘With support from my team, I’m working to push the home forward, to be the best we can for everyone who uses the service here: from the residents, visitors, and staffing team to the health care services who support Cedar Grange.’
