Ashcroft House has 26 bedrooms with tasteful décor and quality furnishings. The interiors boast traditional high ceilings decked with chandeliers. Communal areas are where our residents put their feet up. These include our airy Lounge Room, with garden access and beautiful views. Here residents also have the opportunity to join in social activities. Dedicated staff are always on hand to guide and assist with individual needs.

Another one of our homes that specialise in End of Life Care, Ash Croft House has been awarded accreditation from the Six Steps to Success in End of Life Care Programme. Our staff are committed to upholding the principles of this programme and are continually working towards re-accreditation, every 12 months.

Activities for Body & Mind

We believe that every individual has his/her own story to tell. At Cedars Care Group homes, we make it our business to get to know the people we care for by spending time with them. Furthermore, each resident has a ‘This is Me’ profile, drawn up when they first arrive. 'This is Me' profiles keep us aware of a resident’s existing hobbies, skills, and interests. They also guide us when we are introducing residents to something new. Remembering past achievements, and the good old days, often helps to maintain a sense of self and fulfilment.

Family visits and family involvement are vital to the wellbeing of our residents. That’s why we aim to provide an environment that’s comfortable and invigorating for both residents and their visitors. 

 

Personal Space & Personalised Care

Familiarity and reminiscence is invaluable. It keeps our residents connected with life; can ease the transition into care; and is helpful in improving memory skills.  At Ash Croft House, all our residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small belongings and photographs. This makes a world of difference and encourages a sense of belonging.

We offer several types of care depending on the level of support required: Nursing Care, Convalescent Care, Post-operative Care and End of Life Care. Each resident receives personalised support in accordance with his/her individual care plan, under the supervision of the dedicated home manager.

In order to maintain our exceptional level of service, we actively seek feedback. It helps us offer the highest quality support and care, tailored to the needs of our individual residents.

 

Meals

Hearty, home cooking really makes a house a home. Our chef creates a wide range of balanced, nutritious meals from locally sourced produce which supports the community. These are prepared daily and in accordance with residents’ dietary requirements. Each day presents varied menu options, allowing a choice of seasonal hot and cold dishes. Popular choices are roast dinners, fish & chips and traditional puddings. Special requests for dishes can be made and alternative options are always available. Meals can be taken in the dining room or served in the resident’s room if they prefer. Find out More
