A Memorable Photo Shoot Day at Woodlands Manor
We had a wonderful and memorable Photo Shoot Day at Woodlands Manor, giving our residents the opportunity to enjoy a day of pampering, self-care and creating beautiful memories with their loved ones.
Our residents were treated to a special day of getting ready, including having their hair styled, nails done and choosing beautiful outfits to wear for their photoshoot. The day was all about making our residents feel special, confident and celebrated.
We also invited our residents' families and loved ones to join us and take part in the photoshoot. This gave everyone the opportunity to spend quality time together and capture precious moments that they could treasure forever. It was lovely to see the smiles, laughter and excitement throughout the day. Our team worked hard to make sure every resident felt comfortable, supported and involved, helping them create a memorable photograph to keep and share with their loved ones.
A huge thank you to our wonderful team, residents, families and invited partners for making the day so special.
At Woodlands Manor, we believe every moment matters, and these beautiful memories will be treasured for years to come.

Growing Memories at Woodlands Manor
At Woodlands Manor, our residents have been enjoying the wonderful experience of growing their own vegetables, getting involved in gardening and spending time outdoors.
Our residents have had the opportunity to plant, nurture and watch their vegetables grow, taking pride in being part of every stage of the process. From planting seeds to caring for the plants, it has been a lovely way to encourage meaningful activities, teamwork and a connection with nature.
Gardening has brought lots of smiles, conversations and enjoyment, allowing our residents to share their experiences, memories and knowledge of growing vegetables.
It has been wonderful to see our residents taking pride in their gardening efforts and looking forward to watching their plants flourish. We look forward to enjoying the rewards of their hard work as our vegetables continue to grow!
At Woodlands Manor, we believe in creating meaningful experiences, encouraging independence and helping our residents enjoy every moment.

Celebrating Our Residents' Life Stories at Woodlands Manor
At Woodlands Manor, we believe that every resident has a unique story, and we love taking the time to discover and celebrate the lives they have lived.
Our team spent time getting to know our residents' previous jobs, careers and working lives, learning about their experiences, achievements and the roles that were important to them.
Using this information, we personalised their bedrooms with meaningful items, pictures and decorations that reflected their past careers and interests. This helped create a familiar and comforting environment that celebrates each resident's individuality and life story.
It was wonderful to see the joy and pride on our residents' faces as they recognised familiar memories and shared stories about their working lives with our team and loved ones.
By personalising their rooms, we aim to make Woodlands Manor feel like home, while ensuring every resident feels valued, respected and known for who they are.
At Woodlands Manor, we celebrate the person behind every story, creating personalised spaces filled with memories, identity and meaning.

Southport Primary Pupils and Care Home Residents Working Together to Create Eco-Collage
Pupils from St. Philip's Church of England Primary School in Southport have been working on an eco-collage project with residents of Southport’s Woodlands Manor Care Home.
In their regular visits, the pupils have worked with the care home residents on the project which has seen them using sticking rubbish on their collage to show aspects of life in Britain.
The young St. Philip's pupils and older Woodlands Manor residents have built up a good relationship through the project, which has been coordinated by The Windmill Foundation as part of the Sefton@50 celebrations marking the Borough’s half century.
