There is an excellent team of carers and nurses who I can see actually "care" about the residents and relatives. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great environment for my mother to be looked after in.

The lady who looks after the activities is excellent so we as a family are very happy to say to others this home is both caring and safe. My mother is happy so we are all happy.

World Down Syndrome Day

Today we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day in Woodlands Manor, and are lucky to have our lovely Joyce with us! We all joined in wearing odd socks as well as snacking on delicious and colourful cupcakes supplied by the kitchen staff. Each year, Down Syndrome International invites everyone across the world to wear odd socks to support World Down Syndrome Day. The date is the 21st day of the 3rd month, to signify the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.
