There is an excellent team of carers and nurses who I can see actually "care" about the residents and relatives. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great environment for my mother to be looked after in.

The lady who looks after the activities is excellent so we as a family are very happy to say to others this home is both caring and safe. My mother is happy so we are all happy.

Sensory Activities

Some of our residents prefer the comfort of their own rooms so to help include them in our daily activities,  Linda brings activities to them.  However, those who were in the communal areas of the Home were not left out either.

The sensory activities that our residents have today include rain sound stick, fidget bubble toy and jigsaws.

Sensory activities can be very calming for someone living with dementia who may experience agitation or anxiety. Soothing music and smelling a familiar scent can both help to reduce agitation and encourage relaxation, helping to improve the overall well-being and quality of life for that individual.
