There is an excellent team of carers and nurses who I can see actually "care" about the residents and relatives. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great environment for my mother to be looked after in.

The lady who looks after the activities is excellent so we as a family are very happy to say to others this home is both caring and safe. My mother is happy so we are all happy.

Renovating our Gardens

Here at Winscombe Hall we are dedicated to making sure our residents and families are able to fully enjoy our beautiful home and grounds.  Before closing our doors to visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had begun to renovate our gardens to their full potential.   Our renovations included a Walled Garden project suggested to us by  Miles and Jim.  Thank you both for such a great idea.

It was with much sadness that we had to put this on hold during the lockdown period.  The safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff was our main concern.  When the lockdown restrictions began to ease, we wanted to carry on with our garden renovations.  We were extremely grateful when Redrow Homes, Woodborough Grange came to our aid.  They offered their professional help to enable us to carry on with our our garden transformation.  To find out more about this fantastic project, please read the article in the Weston Mercury   A couple of pictures below show our work in progress around the old pool area.

Renovating the gardens is one of our great passions, which began with our sensory garden last year.  We are extremely lucky to have such wonderful grounds for our residents to enjoy and they love spending time outside.  The hard work and support from our local communities have enabled us to give our residents and their families the space to come back together again safely.  Being outside and engaging with the natural environment is extremely beneficial for our residents well-being.  Our team find it is beneficial for them as well and encourage outdoor activities when the weather allows.  Who can resist a cold drink or an ice cream sitting in the sunshine taking in the scenery.
