Join us at Memory Walk
On October 14, Cedars Care Group staff are walking the memory walk with 110,000 people united against dementia. Will you join us?
Did you know that over 220,000 loved ones develop dementia every year? At Cedars Care Group homes, we work to improve the lives of elderly people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. We support them and their families through the difficult journey of a progressive brain disorder. But imagine a world without dementia?
Memory Walk is an Alzheimer’s Society initiative aiming to raise £9million for dementia research, and to help those affected.
This year’s walk will unite over 110,000 from all walks of life across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Representing us on the day will be five fantastic members of staff from the Cedars Care Group head office in Beckenham. They are: Sian, Diana, Shanelle, Mark, Rebecca and Tilly the dog.
Our team will be taking part in the London Memory Walk by night; a 4-6 km route through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. They’ll be walking for all our residents tackling dementia, at Cedars Care Group homes across the UK.
You can join us at the walk or show your support by sponsoring team Cedars Care on our JustGiving page.
Please help us spread the word about dementia by sharing this with your friends and family on social media. Follow our progress over Facebook and Instagram as our team prepares for the big day.
