Hawaiian Theme Party at Cedarwood House
Our residents at Cedarwood House enjoyed making the most of the summer with mocktails and leis at their Hawaiian themed party in August.

Our residents and team loved being presented with a lei to wear when the Hawaiian themed party started. The lei symbolises everything that our residents and team at Cedarwood House wish to portray to each other and their families.

As well as the wonderful BBQ food that was on offer, our talented chef provided the delicious mocktails.
A Hawaiian themed party would not be complete without a lei or a mocktail. A party also needs music to make it go with a swing and The Shady Ladies certainly got our party started. Being able to dance outside to live music made the afternoon that little bit more special for everyone. The Shady Ladies were really professional and adhered to the required social distancing.

As well as music, a good party should have a game or too and our Hawaiian themed party did not disappoint. Playing games to enhance co-ordination skills are a great way for our residents to spend their time when not drinking mocktails and dancing.

There was also something for our residents who preferred a more relaxing way to spend time after the excitement of the party. Colouring in has been linked to many health benefits for adults and we encourage our residents to participate in this activity as much as possible.
Everyone agreed that they had a great time pretending to be in Hawaii for the afternoon and they can’t wait for next summer to experience another exotic destination, from the comfort of their own back garden.
