Festive Fun at Cedars Care Group
We’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit at all of our care homes across the UK, from Southport to East Sussex. Residents and staff are having a jolly time preparing, and enjoying the busy schedule of yuletide events throughout the month.
We’ve been out shopping for decorations and stocking fillers. We’ve put up our trees and made them beautiful. We’ve decked our halls; planned menus; and even done a bit of work in the garden to make sure we get onto that nice list.
With Christmas parties and vigils planned at all of our homes, friends and family were invited to share in the joy, and what wonderful time we had together. Here are some festive photos of all the fun we’ve had over December in the spirit of the season. Thank you to everyone who was there, and Merry Christmas from the Cedars Care Group family!
At Cedar Grange Care Centre and Woodlands Manor Care Home residents had a great time decorating for christmas. Residents of Woodlands in particular, got a little carried away with the tinsel. In the end, their tree wasn’t the only thing that got decorated.
Christmas Jumper Day
At our Head Office in Beckenham, we had a Christmas Jumper Day, with the team sporting some of the best varieties we’ve seen this season -guaranteed not only to keep you toasty, but entertained too!
Our residents at Cedars Care Group Homes stay active indoors and out. We’ve been hard at work in the garden at Cedar Grange Care Centre, to make sure everything was neat as can be in preparation for the expected snow (fingers crossed!) Then of course we had a cup of tea with biscuits.
Andy and Liz from Woodland’s Manor Care Home payed a visit to the Big Picture Nursery to confirm that Woodlands would be attending their Christmas Event. While at Derwent Residential Care Home, a bit of shopping was in order for decorations and stocking fillers…
Residents at Cedar Grange Care Centre took the time to write write Christmas cards to all their loved ones…
This year our Christmas parties went down with a real bang, with great food, good cheer, lots of dancing and even Christmas tombola. At Cedar Grange Care Centre we had live music from our local music company, Boomer Music and live carol singing at Derwent Residential Care Home by the choir singers from our local church, St Mathews. Not to mention Frosty the Snow Man attended as the guest of honour at our parties at Cedar Grange Care Centre and Woodlands Manor Care home.
No Christmas is complete without nativity plays and Pantos. Residents and staff at Ellenborough Residential Care Home enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Pantomime put on for us at our home by WestonCollege students. While Woodlands Manor Care Home residents (with Frosty the Snowman) attended the Big Picture Private Day Nursery on Christmas Morning, where we enjoyed the most adorable nativity play ever!
