HCA - Days and Nights

Cedar Grange - Southport - Merseyside

Cedars Care Group is a family run company with fifteen years of experience in nursing, dementia, elderly care and has seven boutique homes across the UK.

We are now looking for carers to join our residential care teams in Southport.

Requirements:

  • Part or full time days and nights available, 2-3 shifts per week on a rota basis.
  • 12-hour shift patterns, to include a share of weekends.
  • Professional care experience is not essential as full training is provided but a passion for care is a must.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • To promote and provide skilled care for the elderly and be responsible for the planning and recording the immediate and long term needs of the Service Users.
  • To adhere to all statutory requirements and good practices as laid by all authorities involved.
  • To adhere to company policies.
  • To observe and operate in accordance with the CQC Essential standards of quality and safety
  • Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the Home’s quality assurance programme.
  • To actively support and promote decisions and initiatives by the Manger.
  • To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably requested by your Manager from time to time, which they consider necessary to maintain the smooth running of the home.
  • To protect, secure and manage the premises and equipment.
  • To help monitor and tidy the Home during the shift.

Qualifications and Skills

Preferable NVQ Level 2 or above, however this is not essential as induction and ongoing training and development will be provided within the role.

Part Time Cook

We now require a Chef/Cook on a part-time basis, to join our friendly team and support the catering requirements for two of our care homes in Battle and St Leonards-On-Sea.

Requirements .

  • Part-time, 24 hours per week (3 days per week)
  • Must be able to cover Saturday, Sunday, and Monday set shifts

Responsibilities and Duties

A compassionate and caring nature is a must. The role will involve planning and preparing nutritionally balanced meals for our residents, food ordering, and working to budgets. You will work together with the Head Cook and Management team to ensure the nutritional needs of our residents are met to the highest standards.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a candidate who ideally has previous experience in a working kitchen, however this is not essential as full induction and training will be provided.

Senior Care / Team Leader - Nights

We are seeking a Senior Carer/Team Leader to support our Dementia residential care home in Southport.

You will support our residents in all aspects of their daily living needs, ensuring that their physical and emotional needs are met and that choice and dignity is promoted at all times.

You will oversee the night shifts, manage, support and supervise our night care staff and support the Home’s Management team in achieving targets. The position is full time, night shifts are on a rota basis, flexibility required, to include some weekends.

We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate experience either within a senior care role or in a team leader capacity within a care home environment. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who is eager to progress within the care sector and willing to work towards Level 3 or 5 NVQ.
